About the Artist
L. Ashwyn Collins is an artist, writer, and filmmaker currently based in Honolulu, HI. Much of her work explores temporal and spatial issues of perception, desire, power, and agency within the cinematic frame. Some topics of interest include divinity, digital space, copyright, and gender.
She received an MFA in New Media from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. In recent years, she has exhibited work in galleries and film festivals throughout Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Currently, she is working on the post-production for her first feature-length documentary film. She also offers freelance audio-visual design as copy[paste] productions.
